The former Chelsea star said this ahead of Man United’s Premier League final day fixture against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
“Bruno is football sick. Sometimes I tell him: ‘You’re too heavy, shut up!’,” Mata told The Athletic.
“With Bruno, I speak a lot about football, he knows a lot of players, he knows everything, kind of like Ander Herrera was.”
Fernandes has been one of the stars of the season for Man United, scoring ten goals and registering six assists in the Premier League.
But the campaign has been a disappointing one for the Red Devils, who are set to finish sixth in the Premier League table as they face Crystal Palace in the last game of the season.’
