Everton’s final home game of the season takes place with Crystal Palace visiting Goodison Park after failing miserably to confirm their Premier League survival over the weekend.

On Sunday, Frank Lampard’s team were beaten 3-2 by Brentford, while the Eagles had to settle for a 1-1 draw away to Aston Villa.

Everton fans let off fireworks outside the Brentford team hotel at 3.30 a.m., but the Bees made sparks fly on the pitch, as Everton finished the game with zero points and nine men after a five-goal thriller.

In a first half that also saw Jarrad Branthwaite receive a 16th-minute red card and Seamus Coleman’s own goal give Brentford a lifeline, two quickfire headers from Rico Henry and Yoane Wissa turned the game on its head before Salomon Rondon’s awful challenge and subsequent sending off, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison both scored for the Toffees.

Aston Villa Vs Burnley

Burnley’s fight to stay in the Premier League resumes on Thursday night when the Clarets visit Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Last time out, the hosts were held to a 1-1 draw by Crystal Palace, while Mike Jackson’s survival mission was made even more difficult by a 1-0 setback to Tottenham Hotspur.
