The German revealed that the Spanish goalkeeper is dissatisfied with his job at the west London club and that he “deserves to play more.”

When Kepa moved from Athletic Bilbao to Chelsea in a spectacular £72 million transaction in 2018, he became the most expensive goalkeeper in history.

He was replaced in the team in 2020 by Edouard Mendy, who soon established himself as one of Europe’s greatest goalkeepers.

During his last pre-match news conference of the season, Tuchel said of Arrizabalaga, “It depends what he wants and what his intentions are, but I know that we are extremely privileged to have You [Mendy] and Kepa in our group.” I know Kepa is upset with the circumstances, and he deserves to play more and be a solid number one.

“He came here as a number one goalie, so the position is difficult.” “I can tell you that he has always been a terrific team player and has never let anyone down,” he continued.

Tuchel revealed that Spain International is unhappy at Stamford Bridge and stated that he hopes to speak with the 23-year-old to persuade him to remain longer at the club.

Despite rumors tying the Spanish goalkeeper to a move away from Stamford Bridge, Tuchel stated that he would want to have both good goalkeepers, Mendy and Kepa, at Chelsea next season, adding, “Let’s see.”
