Let’s quickly review a few of the Premier League games that took place this week.
Manchester City faced Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium to maintain their unblemished record in the Premier League this season.
Phil Foden and Erling Haaland scored goals for the Citizens in a well-deserved 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest. The Citizens put on an impressive performance.
As city rivals Arsenal and Tottenham squared off at the Emirates Stadium, the North London Derby provided the tournament with some of the most exciting entertainment.
Son Heung-Min scored twice, Cristian Romero scored an own goal, and Bukayo Saka scored the lone goal in what turned out to be a high-intensity football game that ended in a 2-2 draw.
When they faced Unai Emery’s Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge Stadium, Chelsea’s struggles in the competition persisted. With Ollie Watkins scoring an outstanding goal for Aston Villa, the Blues were unable to muster a convincing performance and fell to them by a score of 1-0.
With a convincing 3-1 win over West Ham United at Anfield Stadium, Liverpool increased their winning streak in the competition to five games. Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah, and Darwin Nunez all scored goals in the victory.
