Fulham vs Chelsea...CONTINUE READING

The new Chelsea era begins on Saturday at Craven Cottage with the West London derby between Fulham and their capital rivals. The visitors enter the contest coming off a 2-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, while the Blues are coming off a 1-0 Champions League loss to Dinamo Zagreb.

Few defenses have been able to stop Aleksandar Mitrovic, a goal-scoring juggernaut, but his outstanding effort against Tottenham last weekend was in vain as Fulham lost to their London rivals 2-1.

Prior to Mitrovic’s elegant top corner strike, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Harry Kane had caused the Lilywhites’ net to tremble for the Lilywhites, but the Cottagers’ troubles with away days persisted.

Liverpool vs Wolves

An angry Anfield will host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday after Liverpool’s devastating loss to Napoli in the Champions League.

The guests overcame Southampton last weekend with just one goal, while the Partenopei embarrassed Jurgen Klopp’s club this past week with a 4-1 score. On Wednesday, those who went to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona left with dejected looks on their faces.

Theories for Liverpool’s alarming downward trend are being put forth by fans, analysts, and journalists alike.
