However, visits to Anfield in the last couple of seasons hasn’t always turned out in United’s favour and ahead of this weekend’s clash, check out Liverpool players capable of causing Erik Ten Hag’s men problems;

1- Mohamed Salah

Liverpool may not be in tbe best of form this season, but they got back to winning ways just in the nick of time for United’s visit following a 2-0 home win over Wolves in midweek. Mohamed Salah was on the scoresheet in that game to take his tally for the season to 20 goals in all competitions.

The Egyptian has now scored at least 20 goals for the Reds in each of his last six seasons. He is still a dangerous player in the attacking third, one United must tame if they hope to get the better of Liverpool.

Whoever is deployed to mark Salah in the right wing, be it Tyrell Malacia or Luke Shaw would certainly have a job to do for 90 minutes.

2- Darwin Nunez

The Uruguayan is finally adapting to life in Merseyside and has 10 goals to show for his performance in all competitions this season. He is an enthusiastic player with a speed and aerial ability to keep defenders on their toes.

Give him space and he will definitely hurt your team, and that’s why United must plan for how to keep him quiet.
