Tsimikas was forced off with injury during Arsenal’s Premier League 1-1 draw with Liverpool after clattering into his own coach Jurgen Klopp following a battle for the ball with Saka.

The Greek left-back was taken to hospital for treatment after the challenge.

Speaking about the incident, Saka told Sky Sports: ‘”I have heard he’s gone to hospital so I want to apologise to him.

“I didn’t mean it, of course. For me it was just a 50-50 and I have gone shoulder to shoulder with him.
