De Bruyne was impressive as Manchester City defeated Wolves 3-0 over the weekend.

The Belgium international picked up another two assists during the encounter.

His two assists were the midfielder’s 92 assists in his 217 appearances in the Premier League — the same number that Gerrard managed in more than twice as many games.

It put De Bruyne seventh on the all-time list, with Manchester United’s Ryan Giggs top with 162.

Speaking after the game, De Bruyne said at his post-match press conference: “It is good to help my team.

I tried to create as many chances as possible for my team and if they score I will get an assist. It works together and it is good I can do that. I have been doing the same thing since I came here. It is still going on.
