Going by the club’s official website, Arsenal has 24 senior players listed, which means regardless of the injury situation, Arteta was always going to have to make a decision on which four first-team stars would be cheering on their teammates from home.

As a result, the Ghana international’s potential return will reduce the number of players Arteta must leave behind when naming a 20-man squad for a short trip to West London.
