The delegation went there to assess the level of damage perpetrated by the vandals.

The Governor kept mute but the Commissioner for Education, Dr. Joan Osa-Oviawe, described the attack as disturbing. This is a very disturbing occurrence in the school. We are ensuring that appropriate measures are taken to address this problem once and for all so that it will not give room for any recurrence in other parts of the state.

There will be a review of admission policies by us to decongest schools in the state.

The population of the school is high so the issue must be addressed at this point before the school reopens for academic activities.

Obaseki has approved the recruitment programs under the Edo STAR fellowship program so that we can fill in gaps that already exist in senior school.

The damages have been done and there are still other things that we need to do to make sure that the environment is conducive to earning and that extends to other schools with the same challenges.

Mr. Sunday Osaretin who is the principal of the attacked secondary school revealed that the perpetrators attacked’s numbered about 49 who attacked the school. It was the intervention of the pice and vigilante that brought the situation to calm.
