The Florida State University star was a surprise omission from the 23-woman squad released by head coach, Randy Waldrum last week.

Echegini was outstanding in the Falcons 1-0 win against Costa Rica last month.

The midfielder set up Esther Okoronkwo for the decisive goal as the Super Falcons ended their seven-game winless streak.

The Super Falcons will take on Haiti in the first friendly at the Emir Sports Complex in Antalya, Turkey on April 7.

The second friendly against New Zealand is billed for the Mardan Sports Complex also in Antalya on April 11.

The two friendlies are to put the team in shape ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
