Jorge Messi told reporters at the Barcelona airport when asked if Messi would still play for the club, “I don’t think so; the circumstances aren’t right.”
Messi asserted that he “had a contract with Paris Saint-Germain,” adding that he and Barcelona president Joan Laporta had not spoken about a deal.
In the summer, Messi’s deal with PSG is set to expire, and no new agreements have been made as of yet.
