After they failed to land Raphinha, they have finally signed Raheem Sterling and could soon complete Kalidou Koulibaly’s deal. Sterling could be the player who will break the number nine curse at Chelsea. The Englishman could be the next Didier Drogba of Chelsea. Let’s take a look at how Sterling’s Premier league statistics relates to that of Didier Drogba.

The Retired Ivorian striker scored 104 goals and provided 64 assists in 254 premier league games for Chelsea. Whereas Raheem Sterling scored 109 goals and provided 77 assists in 320 premier league games for both Manchester city and Liverpool.

Chelsea will be the third Premier league club that Raheem Sterling will be playing for, while Chelsea is the only Premier league club that Drogba played for during his football days. However, both Didier Drogba and Raheem Sterling won four titles each.
