In 2013, Mario Mandzukic won the title with Bayern Munich, while Luka Modric won it with Real Madrid next season. In 2015, Barcelona won the Champions League title and the Croatian player who.wom.it with them was Ivan Rakitic.
From 2016 to 2018, Real Madrid won three consecutive UEFA champions league titles and the two Croatian midfielder who won it with them were Luka Modric and Mateo Kovacic. In 2019, Dejan Lovren won with with Liverpool, before Ivan Perisic won it with Bayern Munich.
Last season, Chelsea won the Champions league title and Mateo Kovacic was the Croatian midfielder to win it with them. After Luka Modric won it with Real Madrid in 2021/22 season, he became the Croatian midfielder with the most Champions league titles while Mateo Kovacic has won it four times.
This record is very interesting as there is no other country that has this kind of record other than Croatia. Luka Modric could won another Ballon d’or award if he guides his team to FIFA world cup finals or possibly win it. Since 2013 till date, he is the only Croatian player who has won the Ballon d’or award.

Croatian Player like Luka Modric and Mateo Kovacic are rare to find. It looked like Croatian produces some of the best midfielders in the Europe’s top five leagues. They have also produced some talented forwards like Perisic and Mandzukic I’m the past few years.
