A man anf his partner have reportedly been caught and arrested after they were found in possession of a lion’s head inside their vehicle in the North West province.
According to reports, the man and his woman where arrested by the Hawks after they were found with a lion’s head which they were reportedly going to sell to a traditional healer for something a mounting around R350 000, their mission to become a couple of thousands richer was interrupted and they are now behind bars.
“A Tembisa couple arrested by the Hawks for the possession of a lion’s head discovered in a refuse bag inside a vehicle in Zeerust, North West. According to the Hawks, the head was to be sold to a traditional doctor for an estimated amount of R350 000.” reports suggests.
We usually hear of Rhino horns poaching, this is an unusual case that we are hearing about, if this is not curbed, lion’s will also be endangered just like the Rhinos, they might end up going extinct.
Desperate people do not have time to reason, they put their lives at risk while committing crime, while heading a lion, they don’t really care, as long as they try to do something that will bring money into their pockets.
