Morocco started on a high note scoring their goal in the first half. This came via El Neysri who scored against Portugal in the 43rd minute. The goal came via a header which was slotted home nicely from a cross via the left wing. El Neysri jumped highest above everyone to beat the keeper and the defender’s.
In the second half however Portugal saw majority of the possession and therefore chances created. Quick tactical changes by the Portuguese coach saw an introduction of Christiano Ronaldo and Joao Cancelo.
This saw Portugal become more direct with their shots on goal. Ronaldo nearly made an instant impact with a cross nearly slotted by Bruno.
The match ended after an eight minutes added time. Congratulations to Morocco.
