Every time I came home to find my father so drunk and my mother was always complaining about it. One day my mum tried telling at my father and he slapped her and that is when things started going towards a different direction. My father got used to beating up my mom to an extent of her fainting.
It wasn’t a joke. Every time my mother could complain about anything, she got her due of several slaps and canes. I never took it lightly as I feared one day my mother could pass on from the severe beatings.
Just the other day I couldn’t even eat because I was so stressed out. With time I could eat just a little and I could feel stomach aches often. The stomach aches became severe and I decided to visit the hospital.
No problem was actually found. Till one day I found a certain nice nurse whom I talked to about my situation and she advised I take ulcer tests, I really prayed hard to have the test negative.
But unfortunately it came out positive. I had no other option except to accept the results. Later that day I was given an ulcer kit that was so expensive so I could start using.
I used the medication for three months but I couldn’t get well. I even changed my diet but my health was still deteriorating.
I decided to visit another hospital, got deferent medication. But still my ulcers couldn’t go away.
By the time is was in form four I was at the verge of leaving school because the pains I usually had in my stomach couldn’t allow me to continue attending classes, that was so unfortunate.
