The two points in question are:

1. Romero’s supposed foul on Cucurella.

2. Nunez’s Headbutt on Joachim Anderson.

ROMERO’S SUPPOSED FOUL ON CUCURELLA:

In the “Battle of the Bridge” between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea on Sunday, the last minutes of the match had a defining moment.

This was before Harry Kane scored the equalizing goal for Tottenham which made the match end as a 2-2 draw.

This was when Romero dragged Cucurella’s hair seconds before Harry Kane’s goal. Chelsea fans have been making comments about this, noting that the referee (Anthony Taylor) has never been fair in Chelsea matches.

NUNEZ’S HEADBUTT ON JOACHIM ANDERSON:

In Liverpool’s Second match of the season, they faced Crystal Palace at Anfield. Having gone down by a goal in the first time, Klopp’s men were expected to perform a comeback in the second half.

This was delayed as Nunez was sent off in the 57th minute after a violent reaction to Joachim Anderson’s challenge.

Looking at the two scenes, one would say that already the headbutt was more direct than dragging of hair, both should be noted as violent conducts on the pitch.

Since Romero was not penalized for the act, does it mean that any player can pull anyone’s hair at anytime?

The FA should look into this and make the right decisions so as to appease fans who are already angry about the referee’s decision.
