Cristiano Ronaldo recently signed for Al-Nassr where he will stay till 2025 if he fulfills his lucrative contract with the club.

Before bringing Ronaldo to Saudi Arabia, Al-Nassr’s Instagram page had only 823,000 followers, but less than 3 weeks since they announced the signing of the Portuguese, they now boast of more than 11 million followers.

Such is the influence of Cristiano who commands millions of followers wherever he goes.

Coming to Messi, the Argentine’s influence has rubbed off on his national team.

Just a month ago, Messi led Argentina to glory in the FIFA World Cup, taking their overall success in the competition to three following their previous triumphs in 1978 and 1986.

So while Ronaldo is currently having an effect on Al-Nassr’s number of Instagram followers, Messi did a much harder job by playing a crucial role in increasing the number of WC stars on Argentina’s shirt.
