He said Betta Edu was the Minister in charge of Humanitarian, and she awarded a contract to a company owned by her colleague. He said considering the Interior Minister’s good profile, Nigerians might have been willing to overlook the corruption allegation on him, and he could have apologized too when he was indicted, and the President might have overlooked it.
Arise said but Tunji Ojo coming to the public, and claiming ignorance about the contract worth about N500 million, seems like he was trying to underestimate Nigerians.
When he was asked if Mr. President should overlook Tunji Ojo’s misdeeds because of his performance in the Ministry of Interior, Senator Arise said, “I have not said that.
