They have been linked with some defenders and forwards but they are yet to announce any signing. Thomas Tuchel is yet to win the premier league title since he joined Chelsea and will try his possible best to achieve this next season.
Chelsea’s Potential Squad Depth For The 2022/23 Season Including Summer Transfer Targets.
Goalkeeper: Edouard Mendy, Strakosha and Bettinelli.
Defenders: Jules Kounde, Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Reece James, Cesar Azpilicueta, Ben Chilwell, Emerson and Levi Colwill.
Midfielders: Ngolo Kante, Jorginho, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Gallagher and Mateo Kovacic.
Forwards: Mason Mount, Hakim Ziyech, Hudson-Odoi, Broja, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic.
It is obvious that Chelsea needs to strengthen their defense this season. This above image depicts potential squad depth which means that Chelsea could add more players to this squad depth. There are players who could still leave this summer.
Romelu Lukaku wasn’t included in the squad depth because he is pushing for a loan back to his former club Inter Milan. Chelsea could sign a player who could stand in for Lukaku and help them bolster their attack next season. Chelsea are also interested in securing the services of Lazio’s goalie Strakosha.
Chelsea are also interested in strengthening their defense this summer. They have already allowed Rudiger to join Real Madrid and they have spotted Jules Kounde as his replacement. However, there are rumors that Jules Kounde’s current injury could delay transfer negotiations.
Christensen and Marcos Alonso weren’t included in the squad depth as they could likely join Barcelona this summer. There are speculation that Christensen has a verbal agreement with Barcelona but the Spanish giants want to resolve their financial situation before completed Alonso and Christensen’s deal.
