Having signed Raheem Sterling and Kolidou Koulibaly, the Blues are now confident of landing another centreback as a potential partner for the Senegalese centreback.
However according to the Sun Football, Chelsea forgotten man Timoue Bakayoko has agreed a deal to join UEFA champions league rivals Mersaille having joined Chelsea in 2017 as Nemanja Matic’s replacement.
Reports suggest that Bakayoko will join Mersaille after a breakthrough in agreement between both parties.
The same report has as well revealed that the Stamford Bridge heavyweights have made an offer of £40m to sign PSG’s star Presnel Kimbepe who’s being considered as an ideal target to provide a solid backline alongside Koulibaly.
Kimpembe is Tuchel’s main priority after the two deals having worked with in League 1 and therefore a perfect fit for Chelsea’s defensive crisis.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are monitoring Jules Kounde’s situation with an option of hijacking the deal from Barcelona being considered.
