According to Calcio Mercato, they have told the Champions League finalists that they have until Monday to sign the player before he is forced to return to pre-season training with the Blues.

Lukaku has seemingly made his mind up that he does not see his future at Stamford Bridge, despite it being just two years since he made his big homecoming move.

In fact, it became clear that he wanted to return to the San Siro almost as soon as he left, with him burning plenty of bridges in West London in the process.

Despite Mauricio Pochettino’s reported willingness to work with the Belgium international, it is fully believed he does not see a future for himself at Chelsea.

It is currently by no means certain that he will be able to get the move he wants. Up until now, a suitable offer has not come in for the Serie A side who were already blessed with a cheap loan last season.

This could see the Blues look elsewhere in order to get the Belgium international off their books, with Saudi Arabia an option that could help them out.

They have already bought a number of players off Chelsea who they were likely to be looking to move on, with them also being able to recoup some decent money for their signings.
