The Blues were reportedly interested in signing the Dutchman, and Thomas Tuchel said he is his top choice defender to sign this summer.
Since Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen have been confirmed to leave Chelsea , the club is getting desperate to add to its defensive options. This has made people want top players like De Ligt, and Romano says the deal is a real possibility.
He said, “De Ligt wants to leave Juventus. He wants to play in the Premier League, and Chelsea is very interested, but Chelsea will need to make a better offer to Juventus.”
