The Blues under the tutelage of both German tactician Thomas Tuchel and English tactician Graham Potter were not convincing enough, thereby ended the league by sitting at the 12th spot on the table.
As such, the West London club who is now under the tutelage of a new manager, Mauricio Pochettino will not be participating in any of the European competitions in the next season, as they hope to embark on a rebuilding process under the Argentine tactician and former Paris Saint Germain manager.
Going by this, the Blues will be playing a few games during their pre-season tour which will be a way to fine-tune their full readiness heading into the new campaign proper.
