1. Goalkeeper – Edouard Mendy.
2. Defenders
A. Centre backs: the centre back positions would be occupied by the duo of Ake and De Ligt. But, that would only be possible if Chelsea are able to acquire their services from Manchester City and Juventus respectively this summer.
B. Full backs: as expected, the full back positions would be occupied by the duo of Reece James and Ben Chilwell. Last season, the duo were quite outstanding for the Blues.
3. Midfielders – the midfield trio will consist of the trio of Mount, Kante and Kovacic. With the trio in midfield, Thomas Tuchel has nothing to worry against Everton.
4. Forwards – if Chelsea are able to acquire the services of Ronaldo and Raheem Sterling from Manchester United and Manchester City respectively, the duo will be joined by Kai Havertz in attack against Everton.
You would recall that Chelsea are expected to begin their new Premier League campaign with an away game against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday August 6 as both teams hope to start the season very strongly.
