Chelsea Increase Aubameyang Transfer Bid...CONTINUE READING THE FULL ARTICLE>>>

The transfer window will close in three days, so there won’t be much movement at Barcelona in the next hours.

The Catalans want to offload one or two players to enable a smooth registration for any players they sign, although both incomings and outgoings are anticipated.

Star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is another player who appears to be close to the departure doors.

This summer, there has been a lot of talk about the former Arsenal captain moving back to London, with Chelsea reportedly showing interest.

This summer, there has been a lot of talk about the former Arsenal captain moving back to London, with Chelsea reportedly showing interest. A transaction has been discussed for some time, but it hasn’t been finalized because Barça rejected their initial offer of €15 million.

Aubameyang is currently on the edge of returning to the Premier League, but ESPN’s Moi Llorens and Samuel Marsden claim that Barcelona and Chelsea could finalize a transfer agreement for the striker by today.

According to the report, Barça must continue to demand at least €20 million for Aubameyang. Chelsea has increased its bid to €17 million, despite rumors that they were reconsidering a move for the striker.

The two parties will meet later today, and as both groups are eager to close the deal, an agreement is anticipated to be struck during that meeting.

Negotiations were slowed down by Chelsea’s attempts to incorporate Marcos Alonso, a Barcelona left-back target, in the Aubameyang operation.

The veteran is reportedly expected to cost roughly €5 million, but the Spaniard’s deal is now being considered as a different entity, according to the article.

Additionally, the Blaugrana will work to finalize his deal before the window closes.

Aubameyang’s destiny will be decided by today, and at this stage it appears probable that the 33-year-old, who was the victim of a horrific robbery at his home earlier this week, will return to London.

Napoli & Sporting among loan options for Ronaldo

Napoli and Sporting Lisbon have emerged as loan options for Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the summer transfer deadline, according to The Independent.

The Portugal international is said to be determined to play Champions League football for a 20th-straight season, and he is apparently ‘pushing’ for a move away from Old Trafford.

A permanent transfer seems unlikely on the cards with the transfer window closing on Thursday, but it is reported that super-agent Jorge Mendes is trying his best to finalise a loan deal.

Napoli and former club Sporting are open to the prospect of landing the 37-year-old on loan, but that would largely depend on United paying a portion of his current weekly wages.

Meanwhile, the same report reveals that there is no possibility of Ronaldo acting as a makeweight for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. The Serie A outfit value him at more than £100 million.

United are unlikely to spend anywhere close to that figure after the huge outlay on Ajax’s Antony.

Ronaldo’s basic weekly salary have dropped from £480,000 to £360,000 this campaign following the Red Devils’ failure to qualify for the Champions League through a top-four finish.

Despite this, he is the highest earner at the club and we don’t see the prospect of United paying portion of those wages for him to spend an entire season away from the Premier League.

Instead, manager Erik ten Hag should be content to keep Ronaldo in the first-team squad. He may not start regularly under him, but would be a game-changer in the big games for United.

The £27 million-rated star may have desire to play Champions League football again, but United would be making a big mistake if they are willing to loan him out without a top quality replacement.

With just over two days of the transfer window left, it is highly unlikely that United will spend big after the Antony deal. Any decision on Ronaldo could be put on hold until the New Year.
