Talented Defender Lands In UK For Medical
Lisandro Martinez has departed on a private flight for England in preparation for a Manchester United medical. After turning down a transfer to Arsenal, the Ajax center back will reunite with his former manager Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.
After United and the Dutch champions ultimately came to an agreement on a price of £42 million, Martinez from Argentina will become Ten Hag’s third signing of the summer.
Both Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord and Christian Eriksen, a free agent with Eredivisie experience, have been signed by United.
After being spotted by supporters at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport, Martinez shared a photo with his agent Christian Bragarnik on board a private plane bound for Manchester.
After passing his medical exams, he might go out to Australia this weekend to join United’s preseason tour.
