Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have made a habit of handing long-term contracts to as many players as possible since their arrival in 2022.

However, there have been squad members who have not been presented with extended deals, some more surprising than not.

After a four-year spell at Chelsea that has led to Thiago Silva finally ending his wait for a Champions League crown, the 39-year-old will not sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

Instead, the legendary Brazil international will return to his homeland to represent Fluminense, one of his former clubs.
