Arsenal ready to move again for Douglas Luiz
Arsenal are in the market for a midfielder in January and Mikel Arteta will make a move for one of his long-term targets. According to the Mirror, the Gunners will try again for Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz in January after failing to sign the Brazilian during the summer of 2022.
The North London club’s final offer of £25m was rejected by the Birmingham club and the 25-year-old would go on to sign a new contract soon after. Arsenal will try to test Villa’s resolve with a January bid but it will be tough for the Gunners to get their man mid- season.
Conor Gallagher hints at a contract extension with Chelsea
Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in recent weeks.
A number of clubs are thought to be keeping tabs on the 23- year-old but the player has now hinted that he is looking forward to a contract extension with the London club. He said: “I’m sure that will get sorted out.
Everyone knows Chelsea is my club and I love playing for them — our fans are brilliant and I’m loving it right now. I’m sure it will get itself sorted out”.
West Ham United ‘willing to pay more than €50m for Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka’
West Ham United are reportedly willing to offer in excess of €50m (£43.7m) for Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka.
Tuchel is known to be in the market for a new defensive midfielder, with Fulham’s Joao Palhinha among their targets, and according to Fichajes, Bayern have already set the wheels in motion to part ways with Goretzka.
The report adds that several Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on Goretzka’s situation, with West Ham said to hold a strong interest and are prepared to pay more than €50m (£43.7m) to win the race for the midfielder’s signature…CONTINUE READING>>
