Chelsea Closing On First Summer Signing As Medical Date Revealed
Chelsea are set for a busy summer transfer window with a number of positions in serious need of strengthening as Todd Boehly looks to make a fast start to his tenure.
Bolstering Thomas Tuchel’s attack appears to be a priority. The futures of Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic and Timo Werner all hang in the balance and Barcelona ace Ousmane Dembele has been targeted on a free transfer with his contract set to expire this month.
He has not had the best period since moving to the Camp Nou but signing the Frenchman is still an exciting prospect. With that firmly in mind,Rblogr has taken a look at the latest news and rumours on Dembele’s future.
Barcelona are struggling to secure new signings due to the ongoing financial difficulties at the club, with deals for Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen still up in the air.
The latest coming from the Spanish press is that the La Liga runners-up in 2021/22 are now reportedly ‘fed up’ with Dembélé.
The report goes on in Mundo Deportivo via Sport Witness to clarify that his current club Barca ‘are getting used to the idea that he will not continue’ with them and ‘they do not contemplate more movements to renew him’.
Their stance is ‘either take it or leave it’, clearly referring to the previous offer they made the player, and this could be a boost for Chelsea.
