As a result, The Blues have ensured the signings of English forward Raheem Sterling and Senegalese International Kalidou Koulibaly and edging closer to adding more players this summer transfer window.
One player that has recently been linked to Stamford Bridge this summer is Spanish left-back Marc Cucurella.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the West London club Chelsea has agreed on personal terms with the 24-year-old Cucurella and has also accepted to pay Brighton’s £50m valuation, putting them firmly in pole position to sign the talented defender.
Fabrizio Romano also added that talks are expected to continue for the deal to be completed so Cucurella could join Chelsea in what would be a major coup for the Blues considering the Spaniard was widely tipped to join City.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea can complete the signing of Marc Cucurella in the coming days.
