First on my list is Rasmus Winther Højlund. This Danish striker has got six goals to his credit in the qualifiers. He marked his debut in the competition with a hat trick aginst Finland on March, 23 2023. One first half goal followed by two goals in the second period was enough to give Denmark a 3-1 home win.

Three days later, he was on target twice against Kazakhstan. Højlund when his country faced Northern Ireland on June 16. However, he regained his scoring form three days afterwards. This time, he got the equalizer in a 1-1 draw with Slovenia. One interesting point about this 20-year-old is that he is the sole scorer of all Denmark’s six goals so far.

Next on the the list is 30-year-old Romelu Lukaku. This striker is responsible for 6 of Belgium’s goals in the qualifiers so far. He netted a treble in his first game of the series.

He got the opener against Sweden 10 minutes before half time. Four minutes after the restart, the 2014/15 Europa League golden boot winner was on target again.

He completed a 3-0 win with a left-footed shot 8 minutes before regulation time. He also scored once against Austria and twice against Estonia in June.

The third player in this category is Harry Kane. The England national team captain has got five goals and made one assist in the series. He netted one goal each against Italy and Ukraine in March, 2023.

It should be noted that the Tottenham striker got the winner in both cases. He followed with another goal in the 4-0 win over Malta. His best output was against North Macedonia on June 19. He got two goals and one assist.
