The team on Friday completed their first training session ahead of the London Derby, where all the available first-team players were involved in severe fitness tests under the watchful eye of the team manager, Graham Potter, who was in charge of the proceedings at the Cobham training ground in London.

However, there were noticeable absentees from the Blues training session on Friday at the Cobham, as some of their key players were not in attendance for the build-up.

Ben Chilwell was not available for the training session on Friday, following the hamstring he picked up on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League game against Dinamo Zagreb.

Recce James and Wesley Fofana also missed Friday’s training session as both players are yet to recover from the injury they sustained a few weeks ago in the UEFA Champions League.

Kepa Arrizabalaga and Carney Chukwuemeka were not also part of the training session on Friday, as both players are still on the Chelsea treatment table for their respective injuries.
