Tsimikas scored the last penalty that ended the game in a 6-score in the shoot-out. Mendy who managed to save Sadio Mane’s penalty in the fifth Liverpool attempt was left gutted at the reality of losing another final to Liverpool.
However, one Chelsea player is responsible for this disaster. And that’s Christian Pulisic. He has to take the blame for causing Chelsea’s defeat in today’s game. He missed so many chances in the first half and also in the second half.
Chelsea had so many great chances to score and so sad that those glorious chances fell in the hands of score. And the fact that he didn’t bother to read the positioning of his teammates to give them the ball to score as well worsened the situation for Chelsea.
It’s a hard defeat to gulp in. Chelsea has lost two domestic cup finals to Liverpool in one season and that’s a first of its kind.
