CAUSES OF ITCHY PALMS

According to the publication by Healthline, the following are the causes of itchy Palms;

DRY SKIN

When the weather is hot, it makes the skin including the palm to become dry, thereby causing itching. This is as a result of the loss of moisture on the skin surface.

SKIN DAMAGE

There are times certain Chemicals come into contact with the hand and palm. If the palm is scratched, it can itch and peel off.

ALLERGIC REACTIONS

If you are allergic to something, you may experience itchy palms which could start immediately or some hours after.

PSORIASIS

This is a skin condition that makes the skin cells grow uncontrollably and pile up on the surface of the skin. This causes itching in the palm and skin.

ECZEMA

This is also known as Atopic Dermatitis.This condition causes some red or pale patches on the skin that itches. If the Palm is affected, the itching will occur there.

DIABETES

Since Diabetes causes poor blood circulation, it results in the itching of the hands, palms and legs.

White scales

Bleeding or cracking of the skin

Small blisters that leak or burst

Rash

Hives

Burning or stinging skin

The Doctor will carry out certain tests to diagnose the underlying cause before giving treatment.

PREVENTION

To prevent itchy palm, you have to do the following;
