As United continues to compete at the highest level of football, Ten Hag’s contribution will be critical to the team’s continued success on the pitch.

While challenges undoubtedly lie ahead, United fans can take heart in the fact that they have a manager who is committed to the team’s success and has a proven track record of achieving results.

The Red Devils are still in contention to win three cup competitions.

On Sunday, when Manchester United face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, Erik ten Hag will be managing his 50th game for the team.

Ahead of this match, both Casemiro and Rashford have expressed their admiration for their manager, as they believe that the club has improved under his leadership.

Casemiro said: “He demands a lot from us, he’s a very demanding manager. He strives for perfection.

“He’s the type of manager who wants the players to always perform to their best.

“It is important for us to have a manager who always wants to win and doesn’t accept anything less than that.

Rashford praised Ten Hag for his role in bringing the Manchester United team together, stating that they have become a stronger and more cohesive unit under his leadership.

“I just think everyone’s willing to fight for the person next to them and that’s how it has to be,” said the 25-year-old, who has netted 28 goals across all competitions this season.

“If someone makes a mistake, you have to be there to cover. You work as a team and as a collective rather than individuals.

“He’s had a big impact. A lot of changes. It takes time to adapt. For him and for the players as well.

“For me personally, it’s more been about seeing his general view of how he will like the team to play,” he said.

“He will help guide the players in which direction where he wants the players to be.

“But he’s given a lot of cues and he also gives a lot of freedom to the players to do what they can.”
