The Foxes, recovering from a Boxing Day setback, showcased their intent early on against 11th-placed Cardiff. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, eager to make amends for a missed opportunity, skillfully navigated past defenders to net his eighth Championship goal, giving Leicester a 1-0 lead.
Cardiff, plagued by a recurring issue of conceding early goals, faced an uphill battle at the Cardiff City Stadium. Despite being dominated in the first half, they managed to limit the damage to a solitary goal deficit at halftime.
However, Leicester wasted no time in the second half, as James Justin unleashed a remarkable strike from 30 yards, securing a 2-0 lead with a goal-of-the-month-worthy effort.
The Bluebirds struggled to make an impact in the attacking third, with their first shot on target coming well into the second half. Leicester’s goalkeeper, Mads Hermansen, comfortably handled Emmanouil Siopis’s attempt.
