The Portuguese midfielder is garnering interest from a number of clubs ahead of the transfer window. Fernandes, who spoke on his Manchester United future following the 3-2 win against Newcastle United last month, said: “I will be here until the club wants me, and the club wants me to be a part of the future.” “If they don’t want me, I’ll leave.”

According to the Portuguese tabloid O Jogo, Bayern has begun conversations with Fernandes’ agent, Miguel Pinho, while Barcelona has also indicated interest in his services. Fernandes has been a crucial player for United since his £46 million move from Sporting Clube de Portugal in 2020.

Erik ten Hag reiterated that the club has no intention of selling him, adding, “No, absolutely, the club wants to keep Bruno, no question.” He loves Manchester United, the fans, and playing for Manchester United; that’s all I know.”

In other news, United’s pursuit of Schalke 04 midfielder Assan Ouedraogo appears to have received a boost. The 18-year-old has long been linked with Manchester United, as have Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

However, Sky Germany now claims that Bayern has withdrawn from the race. Journalist Florian Plettenberg adds that the player’s camp has been notified of the decision.

Schalke is said to have placed a £12 million release clause for any interested English top-flight clubs.
