The Gunners stunned their opponents to a massive win after a very possessive game. Arsenal took their pound of flesh against The Bees by ensuring their previous losses were made up for.

With slight changes made to Arsenal’s starting line-up, the improvement in the playing style and synergy was visible to see. Mikel Arteta handed 22-year-old midfielder Vieira his first league start and the player fitted in well.

Martin Odegaard and Zinchennko were made to sit out of the starting line up for the game. The Gunners displayed enough chemistry to suggest they were a better team and deserved all points.

Five players deserved to be celebrated for their outstanding display in the match which influenced the final result.

William Saliba: The Frenchman was on target once more, scoring his second premier league goal in seven games played so far. Not a bad one for a defender who holds down the centre-back position solidly without any flaws.

Bukayo Saka: The winger was instrumental in his team’s win over Brentford. Saka provided the assist for the first and third goal to hand Arsenal a comfortable win. Although the player isn’t scoring as much as many would expect, he continues to influence the game positively.

Fabio Vieira: The 22-year-old gratified Mikel Arteta’s decision to hand him a league start with a beautiful long range strike that hit the right post and went into the net. He also influenced the game in the front line making it almost impossible to notice the absence of the Arsenal captain, Martin Odegaard.

Gabriel Jesus: Arsenal striker found the back of the net once again in the tie. The Brazilian was a big distraction for the Brentford defenders. He made his presence known with his speedy movements and skillful grip of the ball.

Arsenal return to the top of the EPL as they maintain their one point lead ahead of Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. Mikel Arteta doesn’t seem to be willing to let go of the top spot.
