Sergio Rodríguez (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 12/06/1986) is back at Real Madrid. Leading the team to its historic campaign between 2014 and 2015, the point guard undertakes his second stint at the club.

During his first, which lasted six seasons (2010-2016), he made 429 appearances and won 12 titles: 1 Euroleague, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 3 Leagues, 4 Copa del Rey and 3 Super Cups. He now returns after starring for Olimpia Milan in their Italian League title triumph.

With Chacho’s return, Real Madrid has secured the services of a player capable of making the difference, both scoring and directing play in equal measure at the point guard position. With 12 seasons of experience in Europe, he ranks in the top 10 all-time Euroleague games played, points, assists and three-pointers made.

Sergio Rodríguez arrived at Real Madrid in the 2010-11 season. He became one of the leaders of a legendary team from 2010 to 2016, which enjoyed it’s greatest moment with the conquest of the all five possible titles between 2014 and 2015.

Over his first spell, he played a total of 429 games, divided between 149 Euroleague, 2 Intercontinental Cup, 253 League, 16 Copa del Rey and 9 Super Cup. In Europe’s top competition, he was MVP in 2013-14 and a member of the best five, averaging 14 points, 4.9 assists, 2 rebounds and 15.9 PIR.

He played in the NBA with the Sixers in 2016 before returning to Europe in 2017 where he continued to win titles with CSKA Moscow (1 Euroleague and 2 VTB League) and Olimpia Milan (1 League, 2 Italian Cups and 1 Super Cup). Chacho returns to Real Madrid after six years.
