Emphasizing the notable contrast, he pointed out that his controlled budget is approximately 15 times larger per capita compared to President Tinubu’s budget.
Adebayo contended that President Tinubu has not invested sufficient effort in crafting an original budget, highlighting that a considerable portion of the current budget replicates President Buhari’s approach to budgeting.
He said in an interview with AIT, ”As a head of my organizations, I have a better budget than President Tinubu has. And my budget that I’m controlling is about 15 times his own per capita.
Now he [Tinubu] as treasurer of Mobil was controlling 100 times per capita the budget that he’s controlling now as President over 30 years after. It is not good enough.
He has not spent time to actually create the economy and do a budget of his own. And when I read through the budget, I see that about 60 percent of the content of the budget is just a copy-and-paste carryover of President Buhari’s budgeting style.
My criticism is not to say that President Tinubu is not a good leader. But I’m saying that he has not done a good job.”
