Speaking in a video on Thursday, March 7, 2024, Wanjiru bitterly took a swipe at President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua for the mistreatment she faced at the hands of police officers as they demolished her church situated on Haile Selassie Avenue.

The woman of cloth painfully recounted that security agents roughed her up and touched her inappropriately despite her ardent campaigns for the government during the 2022 General Election.

Narrating her painful encounter, Wanjiru affirmed that as a woman ordained by God, Ruto and Gachagua had started a fight they would never win and warned that everyone involved will face God’s wrath.

“Let me tell you something, my president and my deputy president, from today this Margaret Wanjiru that was beaten, my clothes lifted up by young men who are police, police security agents…they touched my thighs, me, a woman of God.

“You have started a fight that you cannot fight, this one is in the heavens, we have lived with this community parking all these years, and we have never moved, you are using the MD railways, I pity his family because as I cried yesterday and today, even his family plus yours are not exempted my tears will pay, We are hurting, we are bleeding but behold Isaiah 61 anointing starts, Jehovah God healeth the broken hearted,” the bishop said.

The former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant additionally expressed her utmost disappointment in the ruling government claiming that as one of the founding members who campaigned for the regime, the mistreatment was uncalled for.

Airing out her frustrations, Wanjiru affirmed the love she had for Ruto and Gachagua together with their families, however, she announced that tables were turning from today and things will not be the way they used to be.

“We are extremely disappointed with the Kenya Kwanza government, I was one of the founding members of UDA, and I campaigned two years straight when others came to just steal what I had worked hard for, yet I let go.

I have loved you my president and deputy president, I’ve loved your family when you call I obey, I answer, I’ve never disrespected or disregarded you. I have always loved you, prayed for you and blessed you but from today tables are turning,” she said.

Bishop Wanjiru’s church Jesus is Alive Ministries was demolished on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. The church located in the Railways area of Nairobi CBD was brought down after the Kenya Railways Corporation moved to repossess the land.

Wanjiru cried foul accusing shadowy government operatives of being behind what she has termed as the illegal demolition of her church.

“I wasn’t campaigning to be repaid like this. It is very sad that this is the government that we campaigned for. I am yet to believe that they can do this to me. I am the one who sold UDA in Nairobi,” Bishop Wanjiru remarked.
