The court mandated the addition of the bishop’s name to the Lagos State sex offenders register, and he is to serve his sentence at Kirikiri maximum facility. Justice Rahman Oshodi, delivering the verdict, expressed confidence in the complainant’s testimony and uncontradicted evidence from witnesses throughout the trial.
TVC further reported that the court affirmed the prosecution’s success in proving all elements of rape under section 260(2) of the criminal laws of Lagos state, 2015.
