However, Liverpool are closing in on a Highly-rated striker from Benfica according to recent reports. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool has reached an agreement to Sign Darwin Nunez from Benfica.
With Sadio Mane rumored to be leaving this summer, Jurgen Klopp wants to sign a Colombian striker as a replacement next season.
Darwin Nunez was arguably one of the best young strikers in the Portuguese League and at the age of 22, he still has a lot of playing years ahead of him.

Darwin Nunez wears the Number 9 jersey for Benfica which is currently occupied by Roberto Firmino who is not linked outside Liverpool with a move this summer.

The likes of Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz wear 20 and 23 at Liverpool.
At the moment, all the shirt numbers that Darwin Nunez would love to wear are unavailable which means he must compromise this season or convince a player to give up their number for him.
Therefore, Darwin Nunez could wear 16 and 19 which are decent shirt numbers for an attacker.
Without Sadio Mane being said to be leaving this summer, Darwin Nunez could take over the Number 10 jersey if the Senegalese winger leaves this summer.
