Furthermore, Newcastle united who are premier league title contenders this season, have conceded 11 goals in 18 games this season.
While Lens who are currently trailing Paris Saint-Germain in the Ligue-1 table this season, have conceded just 11 goals in 17 Ligue-1 games this season. However, Lens beat Paris Saint-Germain in their last Ligue-1 game to secure the second spot in the table.
Meanwhile, Villarreal who beat Real Madrid in their last La Liga clash to extend their winning streak, has conceded just 12 goals in 16 La Liga games this season.
This shows that they have good defensive cover just like Newcastle and Lens. There are other league leaders like Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Napoli who failed to make the top five list of clubs with the fewest league goals conceded in the 2022/23 season.
