However, two weeks after the dastardly act took place, the helpless residents of the aforementioned community have aired their complaint to Daily Sun news platform. And they said that as against the abnormally high asking price of the ruthless bandits, they were able to raise the sum of five million naira which has been rejected by them.

Lamenting further, the villagers said that the criminals pegged the amount they wanted on one million naira per person. They also said that the criminal elements indicated that they (the locals) have cultivated enough farms in the course of this year to be able to afford the amount they have asked of them.

Following what the recently proscribed bandits allegedly said which was that the people of Zagzaga community should be able to cough out the huge ransom of one million naira for the release of each of their Kidnapped persons, does it mean that the innocent people should be toiling in the farm in the harsh weather almoat all year long only for them to extort the proceeds from them? Besides, it can be deduced that they must have been watching the suspecting villagers cultivate the land throughout the entire year, while they planned on how to deprive them of the dividends that may have accrued to them afterwards. Yet, it is not as if they were barred from also going into farming or any other productive ventures in the course of the same duration. This is simply the height of evil. And to even imagine the cruelty they allegedly make their victims to experience makes it more appalling. But one thing is certain, they too will soon go down like their colleagues who have been terminated.
