The British and German reports said that it was now up to the 30-year-old forward Kane to make a final decision on his future.

German reports said that Kane told Munich weeks ago he would join them while Sports Sky UK said he was now leaning towards staying at Spurs because he likes the philosophy of new coach Ange Postecoglou.

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel reportedly visited Kane in May to convince him of coming to Germany.

Bayern will hope the deal goes through now, after their pursuit another England player, defender Kyle Walker from Manchester City, appears to have failed.

Earlier Thursday, Kicker said that Eintracht Frankfurt’s France forward Randal Kolo Muani “is still being discussed internally” by Bayern bosses and could be a possible “b-solution” for them should Kane not arrive after all.
