Posting to her account @ extragordonary, the mum revealed she discovered the hack thanks to her husband. Since having her daughter, her husband has been in charge of the bedtime routine.

But unlike most babies, Chloe had been sleeping through the night. In the post, she wrote: “When you wonder how your daughter has been sleeping through the night but your husband does the bedtime routine and has been giving her a bowl of oats right before bed.”

“Works like a charm,” she captioned the post. The simple trick was highly welcomed by parents struggling to get a full night’s sleep with their little ones.

The video soon went viral with over 930k views and 78,000 likes. According to The Sleep Doctor, oats are a natural source of melatonin, which can help you sleep.

As well as being a natural source of the sleep hormone, a bowl of oats is bound to keep them full throughout the night and minimise night feeds.

Chloe revealed the recipe she and her husband use. She wrote: “We use regular quick oats, almond milk, almond butter and sometimes nutmeg and cinnamon. Just a lil bowl will do.”

A package of Tesco’s own brand oats costs just 70p for 1kg- meaning the hack will cost less than 20p when you include milk and flavourings.

People were stunned by how easy it was and couldn’t wait to try it themselves. One wrote: “I am buying oats tonight.”

Another person commented: “Going to Costco to buy oats in bulk right now. Feeding them to my son and husband.”
