Chelsea fans enjoyed the moment after Thomas Tuchel’s side came back from a goal down as Ben Chilwell and Kai Havertz gave the Blues a 2-1 victory over the Hammers at Stamford bridge.

It’s undoubtedly a good omen for Chelsea’s new striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as he was spotted in the stands at Stamford Bridge watching his new side as they defeated West Ham United in a 2-1 victory.

The 33-year-old former Barcelona star Aubameyang joined Chelsea on a two-year contract after Barcelona and Chelsea concurred to swap players with Chelsea adding a transfer fee of £10 million and sending Marcos Alonso to the Catalans.

However, Aubameyang may not register his debut with the Blues anytime sooner as he is currently not usable for action after his jaw was broken when armed burglars broke into his house in Barcelona last weekend.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is committing their efforts to enlist the new striker in the squad’s XI as soon as possible.

Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel has revealed that the new striker starts training on Sunday, 4th of September, 2022 but whether or not Aubameyang will register his debut promptly depends on the nature of the protective mask he’s to use and how well he adapts to it.

According to Tuchel: “We try with a mask. It depends a little bit on what the specialists say about who created the mask for him.

“And then how he adapts to the mask so maybe it could be Tuesday, although maybe this is very soon. So maybe it’s Fulham, maybe it is a week later.

Nevertheless, the state of Aubameyang’s jaw injury and how he adapts to wearing a protective mask implies that his involvement in Chelsea’s game anytime sooner is not yet affirmed.

Adam Newson, Chelsea’s chief spokesman confirms in an interview with BBC Sport at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea vs West Ham United Saturday match that Aubameyang starts training today.
